What personal care includes

Our aides assist with bathing or showering, oral care, hair and skin care, dressing, toileting and incontinence care, safe transfers from bed to chair, walker and cane support, and repositioning to prevent pressure sores. Every task follows a written care plan created during your free in-home assessment.

Who it is for

Personal care fits seniors recovering from surgery or a hospital stay, clients with arthritis, Parkinson's, stroke or limited mobility, and anyone who has become unsteady in the bathroom. It is also the most common starting point for families who want to prevent a fall before it happens.

How we keep it safe

Aides are trained in transfer technique, infection control and fall prevention, and a supervisor reviews the plan on a regular schedule. Shift notes are documented so families and physicians always know how the week went.

Common questions

Can a caregiver help with bathing every day?

Yes. Many clients book short daily visits focused on the morning routine, and we can also schedule evening visits for bedtime care.

Do you assist with medication?

As a nonmedical agency we provide medication reminders and can hand a prepared pill organizer to the client, but we do not administer injections or perform skilled nursing tasks.

Blue Haven matched my mother with the same two caregivers every week. Six months later she is eating better, walking more, and still in her own home in Vienna.

My father is a Vietnam veteran and the team walked us through the Aid & Attendance paperwork step by step. The care started within four days.

After Dad's hip surgery we needed overnight help fast. The nurse came out the same evening and built the plan with us at the kitchen table.
